I want to have a happy, fulfilling life and still be free. You don't hold out much hope for Jeffrey in My Ishmael, but I'm hoping you've found some since writing it. Is there a place I can go?
It wasn't I who didn't "hold out much hope for Jeffrey," it was Jeffrey who didn't hold out much hope for Jeffrey. He unfortunately believed what his friends told him, that he was crazy to want more than a chance to join the rat race. Freedom isn't "a place," it's another way to go besides "get a job, get some money, get ahead." This is what's explored in the next book in the series, BEYOND CIVILIZATION.
