    Why are you here?

I guess i would have to say that i am here to learn as much as i can about ishmael and his teachings.I have read every book i can find that has been realeased by Daniel Quinn and must say that i am starving for more.I am also here to thank Daniel Quinn for being the "awakener" in my life and having the knowledge and forsight to pass on the knowledge he has to people who for one reason or another have been unable to reach these conclusions.

Any other personal information/resources/advice/ideas to share?

For a long time after reading ishmael and the following releases tied to it, my main question was what can i do? After reading the awakener parable the answer became quite clear.Well not clear as to what to do but i now understand that it must be me who decides what needs to be done in this situation. Ishmael can no more tell me what to do and how to properly live my life as anyone else can. This is not to say that i have closed my mind off to other peoples ideas rather that i have realized that it is in the end my resposibility to decide for myself what i can do to help.To ask Daniel Quinn for this knowledge is to place him a pedestal that i think he would resent being placed upon. There are many answers to life in the writings of Daniel and to continue to try to make him do all the mind work by requesting even more answers is wrong.I would gladly listen to and read anything that he has to say on just about any topic but i know that i must find my own answers sometimes because no one has them all.
